Core activities

BNP Paribas Fortis has the ambition to become the core banking partner of its clients. It will do so by properly addressing all its Belgian clients’ needs. Retail clients will be served directly through the right channel and at the right time and place. Private banking clients will be proposed an upgraded network (with enhanced proximity) and service offering. Companies and the public banking sector will be offered local and international services.

The shareholders of Fortis Bank SA/NV, being the legal name of BNP Paribas Fortis, are BNP Paribas (74.93%), the Belgian State (25%) and Minorities (0.07%).
Fortis Bank SA/NV owns Fortis Bank Polska (99.8%), Fortis Bank Turkey (94%), Fortis Investment Management, its asset manager (85%, the other 15% held by BGL BNP Paribas) and BGL BNP Paribas (50.01%).
