In Belgium, its domestic market, BNP Paribas Fortis presents itself as the first choice and unique partner for all customers. There will be more collaboration between businesses that are serving clients in their business and private needs. Business clients will also be served for all their needs, on the business side as well as on the personal side. This means that they can choose for the proximity of the retail bank, that they can rely on the corporate bank for more complex skills or international experience and that private bankers are able to serve them for their personal banking matters.
Apart from a strong domestic bank, BNP Paribas Fortis has an international reach. It is a bank that can accompany its clients wherever their business leads them. To do so, the organisation will further develop its strong and unique network of Business Centres in Europe (Corporate & Transaction Banking Europe) that will serve the internationally active domestic clients and large corporate clients providing them with daily banking products. The European network will mainly focus on subsidiaries of domestic market clients, subsidiaries of Corporate & Investment Banking clients or large and mid-cap local clients.
To serve European clients of the BNP Paribas Group in their daily banking needs outside domestic markets, BNP Paribas Fortis will manage from Brussels four global competence centres dedicated to corporate clients: the Business Centres’ network, Cash Management, Trade Finance and Factoring. It will also host a Structured Finance regional platform covering the Benelux countries, Northern and Central Europe, Greece and Turkey. Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives will keep dedicated platforms in Brussels to cover all Belgian client needs. Finally, specific expertise will be leveraged throughout the BNP Paribas Group in Private Public Partnerships.
